Woodlands Waterfront Park I ~Multi-Generation Playground

[Kids Wonderlands]

Woodlands Waterfront Park has becoming one of the favourite hangout places for residents staying in North part of Singapore since it officially opened in Jan 2011. It comprises of 9ha coastal park and a 1.5 km-long waterfront promenade and is located at the junction of Admiralty Road and Admiralty Road West.

Fishing at Bottle Tree Park

(Kids Wonderlands)
Every time, while travelling in MRT along the North South line, at near to Khatib MRT station, I will always get attracted by this place with big fishing pond and looks more of Kampong style. Later then, I managed to find out that it is the Bottle Tree Park. I never got a chance to visit it, until one day, where the kids started pestering to go fishing, so we decided to try it out.

The Bottle Tree Park is located at Yishun, Lorong Chencharu. Honestly, it is not easy to locate it especially for the first timer. So please do some homework before you go there.

Once we get down of our car in the car park, the first things that caught our eyes is the Kampong ‘Longkang’ Fishing pond. When my kids saw this, they started jumping high and low and wanted to join in with the rest of children whom seems to have a lot of fun fishing there.

Changi Airport Terminal 3

(Kids Wonderlands)

Changi Airport T3 has a lot of activities that are suitable for kids. It is a good hang out place during weekend and a good choose to avoid the heat wave outdoor. It compromise of foods, shops, and play areas that can occupy the kids for the whole day.

My 3 kids (age 7, 5 & 3) enjoyed playing in T3, every now and then, they will request to go there.

They especially like the latest attraction there, slide@T3.

There are 2 slides.

One is shorter, for younger kids or less adventurous person, located at basement 2. It is about one-and-a-half storey tall and is free. There is no staff on duty there, thus it is the responsibility of the parents and kids to take care of themselves. The slide admits 1 person at a time (although there are kids manage to squeeze in more than one at a time). The push bar is only activated when the lights turn green, that is when the person in front gets out of the slide. But do be careful in the push bar area, as I had seen kids standing in the push bar line and got knock. It can be quite painful as the bar is heavy. Although it stated that the minimum height is 1.1 metres tall, but there are kids below that sliding down. My 3 years old boy also tried it and he enjoyed himself very much. He will quickly joined back the queue after slides down and kept saying, ‘one more time, OK?’.
